In this talk, I will talk about our recent work on transfer learning with its applications in bioinformatics. I will first briefly present two of our recent transfer learning methods and then present a cross-species data analysis method for mouse-to-human inference. Specifically, I will present a Cross-species gene set enrichment analysis method, which aims to predict enrichment p-values for a target human gene set based only on mouse gene expression datasets.

报告人简历：

李丽敏，西安交通大学数学与统计学院教授，博士生导师。主要研究机器学习和统计方法以及它们在生物信息中应用，包括药物靶蛋白识别，癌症子型识别，跨物种预测等。近年来在相关领域发表多篇论文，包括TPAMI, TCBB, Bioinformatics, BMC Genomics等。连续多年担任机器学习会议PC或审稿人，包括NIPS, ICML, AAAI, ECML, ACML, AISTAT等，是杂志TPAMI, TKDE, TCBB, Bioinformatics, Briefings on Bioinformatics等杂志的审稿人。

李丽敏2010年8月获香港大学应用数学专业博士学位。2010年11月至2011年11月在德国马普智能系统研究所从事博士后研究，2010年9月至2013年12月担任西安交通大学数学学院讲师，2014年1月至2019年12月西安交通大学数学学院副教授，2020年1月至今西安交通大学数学学院教授。
